The Windows Phone 7 menu in landscape mode.
The orientation off the tiles are wrong in these quick concept.
They should keep there exact place and just turn 90 degrees when you go to landscape.
And the tiles have to move from left to right!
The application list still should be vertical so it won't get too messy.

So you still scroll up and down while is landscape? I don't think that's a good idea since in your mockup the tiles move to a different location. For example the Internet Explorer tile isn't below the messaging tile anymore while in landscape mode, so users would have a harder time looking for the right tile.
A better way would be if the tiles just rotated when you turn the device into landscape orientation and scroll left to right.
